Topic: Phrase (Part 1)

Revision: A Sentence is a group of words which expresses a complete thought.

A Phrase is a group of words without a Finite Verb.


A Phrase is also refer to as a "fragment" of a sentence.

The building *_"around the corner"_* is for the Muslims. (around the corner)

The school, *_"specialising in arts,"_* won the Arts Competition. (specialising in arts)

"Glint" /glint/ verb, noun.
Meaning

Verb.
1. To produce a small bright flashes of light. E.g . The sea glinted in the moonlight.
2. Emotional glint. When a person' s eye glint with emotion, the person shows that emotion. E.g. Her eyes glinted angrily.

Noun.
1. A sudden flash of light or colour shinning from a bright surface.
2. Am expression in somebody's face showing a particular emotion, usually a negative one.
E.g. He had a wicked glint in his eye.
