Revision:

A noun is a Naming Word. This means that the name of an activity,  a person, animal, place, thing, idea, actions, quality, festivals, events, etc.

In this lesson we shall discuss Countable (Unit) Nouns.

Countable Nouns are nouns which can be counted. They are nouns which can be grouped into Singular and Plural.

Only Singular Count Nouns use the article "a" and "an".

Example:
1. A table has four legs.
2. We can write on a paper or on a blackboard.

Remember, this that Only Countable (Unit) Nouns the article "a" and "an".

NB. Some nouns may be both Countable and Uncountable depending on how they are used in a sentence.
Example:
1. Samira placed a jar of coffee on the table.
2. Samira placed an order for five coffees.

Put "a" or "an" where necessary.
